All that's good about chaplaincy

John Kay Brown Certifs

Heartfelt congratulations and thanks to Falkirk chaplains Kay and John Brown (pictured) who recently received their Five-year Volunteering Certificate for their chaplaincy services to retail and business workers in Falkirk.

At a special lunch in the town , Central Scotland Regional Organiser Paul Wilson, who handed over the couple’s certificates said: “You epitomise all that is good about workplace chaplains, having a heart and an attentive listening ear to people in need in the workplace community and you have done this very well. You met with us more than five years ago to initiate workplace chaplaincy in Falkirk town centre and during that time have successfully encouraged others from local churches to consider becoming volunteer chaplains also.”

The popular husband and wife are familiar figures in Falkirk. Both are also Ordained Church of Scotland ministers - John has been retired for 10 years, but is still actively supporting ministry in the Church and Kay is an Ordained Local Minister at Falkirk Trinity. They said they had enjoyed their time at the lunch and thanked Paul warmly for presenting their certificates on behalf of WPCS.

Kay is also a published author. To read more about her, just key her name into the 'Search' panel on this website.

Paul would be happy to hear from anyone in the Falkirk area who is considering becoming a workplace chaplain. You can contact him by emailing:
