Chaplain at Edinburgh's Gyle Centre - Rev Grant Maclaughlan

On duty in Edinburgh's The Gyle centre just three months into his new role, WPCS chaplain Rev Grant Maclaughlan wasn't sure if many people knew who he was. He was delighted therefore when Audrey and Tessa, (pictured here with him) two ladies who'd attended a talk on WPCS he'd given at an ecumenical coffee morning in his sponsor church - Corstorphine Old Parish Church - spotted him and came up to say hello.

Increasingly, people are becoming aware of the WPCS chaplain's presence in their daily lives. Stories are coming in from staff and volunteers, in all areas, of people with no church background welcoming them with comments like: "I know you and I trust you, and you are just there," or: "There's a warm feeling knowing I can talk to the chaplain if I need to."
