Chaplaincy at Christmas

img023

Across Work Place Chaplaincy Scotland's different regions, chaplains have been, and continue to be, involved in community Christmas celebrations.

In Fort Kinnaird, in Edinburgh, our chaplain there, Judith Wilkinson, is organising a carol service in the shopping centre from 2pm to 3 pm on December 17.

Then, in the city centre, on Tuesday, December 20, in association with OASIS and business matters in Edinburgh, WPCS is supporting a Community Carol Service, in The Parish Church of St Cuthbert's, from 12.45 pm. Mince pies, tea and coffee will be served afterwards.

From care homes to community meals, our chaplains are all involved, in different ways, in the celebrations while at the same time, keeping those for whom Christmas will not be a happy one this year, very much in mind too.

As a non-denominational, non-proseletysing  organisation, our chaplains and Trustees are drawn from across the Christian spectrum. They don’t have to be Ordained, though many are. Those who are ministers, pastors and priests to their own parishes are involved in their own church Christmas services in their communities.
