Hard-hitting message

Scottish Fire and Rescue Service chaplains, Central Scotland Regional Organiser Paul Wilson and Rev Stuart Davidson (Stirling fire station) and Moira Grant (Falkirk and Larbert fire stations) were at the hard-hitting Safe Drive Stay Alive (SDSA) road show at the Macrobert Arts Centre in Stirling this week.
Said Paul: "Our aim was to offer a presence and support the SDSA team during the event. The 90-minute hard-hitting presentation gives several hundred older teenagers from local secondary schools an understanding of the potentially lethal consequences of taking chances while driving."
In 2007, in a bid to cut the number of incidents, injuries and deaths on the area’s roads, the then fire and rescue and police services teamed-up as the Central Scotland Road Safety Partnership, launching the Safe Drive Stay Alive initiative.
