Chaplain's Davis Cup treat

Chaplains are usually ready to chat over a cup of either tea or coffee with the people they meet, but for Rev Jack Quinn, our Regional Organiser for the West of Scotland and a keen tennis fan, there was time for a cup of a very different kind when he visited the St Enoch Centre in Glasgow yesterday.

Said Jack: "Once of our most recent retail centres receiving chaplaincy provision from Work place Chaplaincy Scotland, Glasgow's St Enoch Centre, was the surprise host to the Davis Cup (pictured) yesterday. One of the privileges of the role of a chaplain is to be in the right place at the right time, especially if you are a tennis fan!"

The Davis Cup Trophy Tour launched in Glasgow, yesterday and will visit over 90 venues across the nation including tennis clubs, major summer events, parks, communities, leisure centres, town halls and shopping centres. Inspiring young players along the way, the Trophy Tour, which will have special appearances from members of the Aegon GB Davis Cup Team, aims to thank the tennis community including including players, coaches, venues and volunteers who have supported the team so well.
