Helicopters and Homer

Dundee summit

Dr Paul Redmond, from the University of Liverpool, spoke to Dundee Economic Summit on how the different generations view the world of work – and life. Entitled: ‘Talking about my Generation: Generation Y and the brave new world of the digital native,’ his talk gave employers some invaluable insights into the world according to those born between 1981 and 1995.

To get a flavour of what he has to say, here’s a clip of him being interviewed on Breakfast TV on ‘Helicopter Parents,’ who’s over involvement he says can have an adverse effect on their child’s prospects of employment.
